HC Band Parents and Students,
Picnic with the Pops Concert and silent auction is one of our most important annual fundraisers. The committee has assigned baskets to each “instrument family” for submission to the silent auction. We have also included various concepts for the baskets, although any additional ideas are welcome in your category.
Please drop all donations in the band room by May 3, 2019. Please make every effort to meet deadline as the Pops committee will be meeting on Saturday, May 4th to begin putting baskets together for presentation in the auction. You may bring items or send with your child at any time as committee members will check throughout the week to collect donations. We will also happily collect during the April 15th band parent meeting. If possible, leave price tags as this helps us place a total value on the basket for auction.
The other way that you can help is by soliciting friends, business owners, etc. for what we refer to as “big ticket” items. These are items that will bring money on their own without being part of a basket. Examples are UK basketball/football tickets, hotel rooms, etc. Please contact Dana Moore (email@example.com) or Jenny Minier (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you need a tax form and one will be emailed to you.
We will be selling tickets directly after our next parent meeting on April 15, 2019 – we hope to see you there. This is a fun event everyone looks forward to every year! First, second, and third place prizes awarded for best decorated tables. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at the Picnic with the Pops concert!
