All Call for Pit Crew and Reminders for Tomorrow!

Dear MB Family,

The Pit Crew will need as many parent volunteers as possible to assist students with rolling pit equipment to and from the field at competitions. Thanks to everyone who helped out yesterday at rehearsal.  The set up and time taking the field is still a little long.  With more volunteers, we can cut the time down taking the field.  Please volunteer your time to assist the students throughout the band season by signing up for pit crew using signup genius .

Just a reminder to all concerning tomorrow’s schedule below. Also, a reminder that the band stays together as a family all day on contest days. During down time, they may visit with family, etc. but all students remain with the group until released tomorrow night after unloading back at Henry Clay.

Sat. Sept. 15th SCHEDULE

7:45 A.M.         Rehearsal Begins in Student Lot (“To be early is to be on time…”)

Parents, please help us by getting your children to rehearsal early 🙂

10:45 A.M. (apx)        Rehearsal Ends… Load Truck…All students are responsible for loading the equipment they need and use in the show.

* Students MUST eat and change into unofficial uniform (Show shirt, solid Black shorts, Solid Black Socks, Black Marching Shoes) at this time.  We recommend bringing a bag lunch*

Students who didn’t get their show shirt yesterday should see Mrs. Scott TODAY after practice!

11:45 A.M.      Full Band (All Brass, WW, Percussion, Guard) meeting in Band Room

12:00 P.M.       Depart HCHS

12:30 P.M.       Arrive at Lafayette HS

1:00 P.M.         Change into Uniform

1:20 P.M.         Uniform Inspection

1:25 P.M.         Move to Warm-up

1:30 P.M.         Winds/Percussion/Guard Warm-up Begins

2:00 P.M.         Warm-up Ends and Travel to Gate

2:15 P.M.         PRELIMINARY PERFORMANCE!!  1st Competitive Show of the year!

SET THE STANDARD as high as possible!

2:30 P.M.         Finish performance and change out of uniform

3:00 P.M.         Clinic for all students and staff in LHS cafe

4:30 P.M          Announcement of Finals Performance Times

*The Finals performance times are based upon preliminary performance results.  There is a director draw for finals times after prelim announcements. *


5:15 P.M.         First Finalist Band Dress Time

5:45 P.M.         First Finalist Band Warms up

6:30 P.M.         First Finalist Band Performs

9:45 P.M.         Recognition

10:00 P.M.      Change out of Uniform

10:30 P.M.      Depart Lafayette HS

11:00 P.M.      Students Arrive HCHS.  Unload Truck and Clean up!
