Good afternoon, Band Family. Here are several important bits of information, in no particular order.
Our band web site is www.henryclayband.org. Our Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/henryclayband/. We’re also on Twitter! We have a brand new parents-only support group on Facebook. This group, which is a closed and moderated group, is for asking and answering all the little questions and finding resources. This is not the official mechanism for communications, and participation is optional. https://www.facebook.com/groups/hcbbparentgroup/
You can help raise money for the band by signing up or renewing your Kroger Community Rewards. Just go to https://www.kroger.com/account/enrollCommunityRewardsNow and follow the directions. Our member number is 10054.
You can also raise money for the band by shopping on Amazon! Go to https://smile.amazon.com/ and sign-in with your Amazon ID and password. Sign up to support Henry Clay High School Band Boosters Inc, and Amazon will donate .5\% of purchases to the band.
We also hope you’ll help us find new corporate sponsors. As a non-profit organization, many corporations already have money set aside to help groups like ours. Go to https://henryclayband.files.wordpress.com/2018/07/2018-henry-clay-band-sponsorship.pdf. The deadline to receive artwork from sponsors for display on this year’s t-shirts is Friday, August 10.
If you haven’t done so already, this is a good time to sync the band calendar to your phone. Instructions can be found here: https://henryclayband.files.wordpress.com/2016/08/calendar-phone-sync.pdf
If you’re going to be a chaperone, please make sure you’ve been approved by Fayette County Public Schools sooner than later. Go to https://www.fcps.net/site/Default.aspx?PageID=4980 and scroll down to “New volunteers”. Existing volunteers can use this same link to see if their approval is still current.
I’ll be sending out a Spirit Wear order form as soon as I can finalize prices with the vendor. Ordering will again be online only this year.
