Ryle and preparation for Bands of America Regional Championship!

Dear Band Family,

First, I want to thank you all for your love and support.  Our band family is the absolute best and showed incredible heart on Saturday.  It was a challenging weekend and we couldn’t have succeeded without the help of our amazing band parents!  From the parents who cared for our kids to those who went to the hospital to the pit crew to hospitality crew to uniform crew to our chaperones, etc. it was a family effort to ensure the show went on and it was inspiring!

The band finished in 2nd place as Reserve Grand Champion a few points behind reigning 3 time state champion Madison Central HS and our students had a remarkable day full of energetic performances despite the elements!  The kids are making outstanding progress and have tremendous momentum!  What is most important is how the kids are taking care of each other and their high level of performance is a result of their amazing character in service to one another.  I couldn’t be more proud and feel privileged to work with such outstanding human beings!

As we move ahead, please note the schedule below.  We have 2 very busy weeks to prepare for a national competition at the Bands of America Dayton, OH Regional Championship!  We get the honor of performing with the best bands in the nation and will see several former National Champions!  I can’t wait!
