Dear Band Families,
Two weeks ago we had a great turnout and installed several thousand seatbacks at UK’s Kroger Field. Next Wednesday (Sept. 6) we will meet again at Kroger Field to finish the job.
We don’t have quite as many seats to install this time, so only the marchers and those who didn’t come to the previous installation are needed next Wednesday. Sign-up sheets will go up in the band room tonight. As with all HC Band activities, parent support is crucial to our success, so please plan to sign up with your student.
We will need a couple small teams to come ahead of the main group in order to mark the seats in the section that we could not access last time due to construction. Everyone else will come in the second shift.
Wednesday, September 6
– Shift A, 5:00-8:00 p.m. We need 10 students and at least 2 adults for this shift.
– Shift B, 6:00-9:00 p.m. We need the remaining students and at least 18 adults for this shift.
Water and snacks will be provided, but please be sure to eat supper before you arrive. No special skills with tools are required. If you can, please bring a 9/16-inch socket (hand or cordless drill-mount) or wrench. Make sure to mark or label your tools.
