Dear Marching Band Family,
We have had a very productive camp and are excited for a great final week!
I wanted to pass along a few announcements and reminders:
1.) We have been given permission to send all band freshmen to the same orientation on Wednesday, August 9th regardless of what individual letters state. All band freshmen should attend orientation Wednesday morning and then join the band again after lunch at 1 PM for the rest of the camp day.
2.) We are still in need of a good number of forms and paperwork. Please be reminded that students wouldn’t be eligible to perform and travel with us without all required forms and paperwork. Thanks for your effort to help us out!
3.) All students need solid black shorts and socks for the Parent Preview Show this Friday, August 11th! We will also be doing the split the pot Raffle just after dinner in the cafeteria so have your tickets ready!
4.) Just a reminder that I need communication of any excused student absence in writing from a doctor or parent. Students are also required to make up any missed work to replace the grade. Please have the students see the directors for make up assignments.
Thanks to all for your support as it “takes a village” to put on a production of this size and we are off to a strong start! We will need parent volunteers in the near future for pit crew, chaperoning, hospitality, uniform help, etc. We would LOVE to have everyone involved! We are all in for a treat this fall with this group of students and show!
