BOA Trip Planning

Dear Marching Band Family,

As we are one month out from BOA Winston Salem, NC, I wanted to provide you with the plan for lodging and accommodations, so you can make your own plans.  I apologize for taking so long getting this to you, but everything seems to be easier to coordinate than it really is. J

We will be leaving Henry Clay on Friday, Oct. 14, around 2pm and heading out.  We will eat about 4 hours later on the way (TBD).  We will travel the rest of the way and will be staying Friday night at

Quality Inn and Suites Hanes Mall
2800 S. Hawthorne Road
Winston-Salem, NC  27103
https://www.choicehotels.com/north-carolina/winston-salem/quality-inn-hotels/nc546

That will allow the band to sleep in the hotel, not get up and out too early, and have breakfast provided there.  Hanes Mall is the second largest mall in NC.  Shopping at Hanes Mall.  We have a block of 52 Rooms Total.  Approximately 35 student rooms (19 girls, 16 boys), 6 chaperone rooms, 6 staff rooms, a few for bus drivers.  There should be a few extra rooms, and we will make those available to parents on a first come, first served basis.  Just email me at brian.rosenkrantz@yahoo.com and let me know.

The plan is to pack up and leave in the morning to BOA to perform, spend all day and evening there, and then Saturday night we will be staying Drum Corps style at

Kernersville Family YMCA
1113 W. Mountain Street
Kernersville, NC  27284

We should be up and out the next morning, and on our way home …

Looking forward to another great experience!
