Dear Marching Band Family, I hope everyone had an enjoyable Sunday! We had a GREAT day of rehearsal on Saturday and while we were disappointed to have to perform inside due to the weather, the band showed tremendous confidence and proved that much of the hard work is paying off! Thank you for coming out to support the students!

Please change after eating around 6:00 into the official uniform. Unofficial uniform is Blue Devil Band Shirt, Black Shorts, Black Socks, Marching Shoes. We will perform at halftime for the home crowd and visiting 8th graders! We will release 8th grade students after halftime, but ALL HC band members please be prepared as the band performs in the stands for the ENTIRE game.
Sat. 9/17: Lafayette Contest Day! We begin rehearsal at 8:00 AM on the football field in the stadium! See itinerary emailed last week for other details. Please do not be late. Contest days require tremendous commitment and energy and we must begin the day in a calm and professional manner to prepare mentally for the day.
Just a friendly reminder, all make up assignments for missed rehearsal time are due BEFORE the competition day on Saturday. Students should complete the assignments and turn them in as soon as possible so they are eligible to march on Saturday.
Thanks to all for your amazing work! We are looking forward to a great start to the contest season!
Sincerely, Bill Kite Director of Bands Henry Clay High School
