We are still in need of 3 more volunteers for our water station at the Horse Capital Marathon Saturday morning! Could we get some non marching families, or some seniors to help out?
Details are below, please reply to Kimberly Collins ASAP if you can help:
We are in need of 3 more volunteers for this project. Thank you to Shawnita and Caleb, Kim and Mary, Vyvan, and Melba and Oscar for stepping up! Details are below, please contact me if you can help!
We are in need of 10 volunteers to work a water station at the Horse Capital Marathon and Half Marathon on Saturday, May 21st. The hours are 6:45 am to 10:45 am, at the corner of Ironworks Pike and Mt. Horeb Pike (same spot as last year). We had a group do this last year, and they had a lot of fun–after the shift, volunteers can go to the finish line at Fasig Tipton and enjoy the food and festivities! The band will get $250 for working the station! It’s really easy, just filling water cups for runners and encouraging them as they stop by. We are encouraged to wear Henry Clay band apparel for this opportunity.
Note, this is the same day as the Marching band mini-camp day, so undergraduate students in marching band will not be able to volunteer. Seniors, non marchers, siblings 12 and up, and parents are highly encouraged to volunteer! Also, one of our students will be running his first half marathon that day, so it will be really special for him to see familiar faces at the first water stop!
Please let me know if you are interested in volunteering for this opportunity. You will sign up directly through me, as I have reserved the spot for our team.
