Good evening, Marching Band Family! I wanted to let you know about the buttons Mr. Bayerle referenced in the email he sent out today. Parents and grandparents (and siblings) wear them at competitions to support their child. It also helps parents be able to identify each other 🙂
Band parent Joe Snider will take the kids’ pictures in their uniforms next Monday and Tuesday before practice. This is so we can get a nice picture before they get sweaty at practice–they can wear their hair and makeup however they like, as they will not be wearing the hats in the pictures. The schedule is as follows:
Woodwinds and Battery go Monday from 1:30-3:30
Pit and Brass will be Tuesday from 1:30-3:30
(If you have a conflict with your assigned day, just come the other day. We just needed an easy way to divide them.)
Click link below for an order form, but you won’t be able to use it until you have a chance to choose the picture.. Joe will have 2 pictures of each child for you to choose from, and I believe he will upload them to the Flickr account, but I will send out an email when we know for sure. I will also have printed order forms available at the Spirit table tomorrow night in case you don’t have a working printer.
There are 2 deadlines:
If you want your buttons by the first football game (9/4), I need to have your order by August 28th.
If you want your buttons by the first competition (9/19), I need to have your order by September 11th.
I can make them all season long, but it takes time to format the pictures with the text and get them printed at Staples, so I need a week’s notice. The band has a button making machine that I use. If anyone likes working with Publisher and would be willing to help me, it would be greatly appreciated! Many people order multiples, and with 126 kids in the marching band, you can imagine how time consuming this task is!
Please let me know if you have any questions! Returning parents, please wear your buttons to the Parent show tomorrow night so the new parents can see them and start to match up kids and parents 🙂
