Dear Henry Clay Band Family, This summer we will be having an open band room from 4-6 on Mondays beggining on June 4th. If you want to work on a secondary instrument, play music, or just hang out, Monday nights will be time.

New members are invited and encouraged to attend.
Dear Band Family, I am in the process of gathering letter and bar requests for students who have earned the honor this year. Please see the below requirements for earning a Letter and/or Bar and let me know (if eligible) if you wish to receive them.
I will be taking requests over the next few days. Please have all requests to me by the end of the day on Friday by responding to this email specifying items earned.
Criteria for Earning Letters and Bars Letters and bars are awarded as recognition to students enrolled at Henry Clay H.S. for achievement in the overall band program.
Letter plus one Bar (Colorguard members will also receive a Colorguard Bar)(Must meet all four criteria)
1. Complete first and second semester of band or Marching Band class for Color Guard with a passing grade.
2. Participate in band camp.
3. Participate in marching band season.
4. Participate in Wind Ensemble or Concert Band or percussion class or
Colorguard spring season.
Or
* Participate in band or Colorguard for four years without previously earning a letter.
Additional Bars
* One bar is given for each additional band or Colorguard year as described above after receiving a band letter.

Band Banquet reminder – Potluck Dinner

Program begins at 6:00.
Please bring a meat dish large enough to feed your family along with a side dish.

Attention Junior Parents, its that time of year again for our wonderful band banquet on Monday May 14 at 6:00. It is the junior parents responsibilty to help serve the food. Its very simple doesn’t take a lot of time we just need to make sure bowls and things stay full. We need about 8 people to help with this. we already have 2 volunteers, myself and Claudia Neal. Please let me know if you could help us out.

All Band Students and Parents: Please have your student sign up for the band banquet on the sheet posted in the band room so we will know how many to plan for at the banquet. Indicate the total number attending for each family.
