Mr. Kite has given me this list of students that will be shown at the very end of this year’s Marching Band DVD. An e-mail has been sent listing names and grade of all band members and prop helpers. Please check it to be sure name is spelled correctly and listed under the correct grade level. If your name is OK, you do not need to reply or notify me. I can only accept corrections from band members (or his/her parent) whose name needs revision. The DEADLINE for these corrections is FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2ND.

2011 Marching Band DVD – Order Your Video Today! The Marching Band Video should be ready for the holidays! The order form is available at the link below. Please have your orders turned into the band box before or on December 12th, the Winter Concert. DVDs will cost $30. If you mail in your order form, please send me an email too. Also, if this is to be a surprise gift to your student, please let me know.

Marching Band Families: I will be sending the final head count along with what everyone is bringing to the cookout to Donna on Tuesday so they can purchase the meat.

MARCHING BAND COOKOUT INVITATION Troy & Donna Cox are inviting all Marchers and their Families to their house for a cookout.
Friday, November 11th 6pm – 10pm
Please sign up to bring side dish, desert or canned drinks.
RSVP to Karen Rardin at 273-6797 or email kardan3201@insightbb.com or have your student sign up in the band room listing the item you are bringing and total number of family attending.
This needs to be done no later than Tuesday, November 8th. This will help us to get an accurate head count in order to purchase the meat.
We are asking that everyone chip in $2.00 per person to help offset the cost of the meat.

Added 11/2: They will be having a bon-fire along with the bbq. Games such as capture the flag for the kids, horseshoes and corn hole games for everyone. Be sure to bring folding chairs to sit around the campfire.
Dear MB Family, I hope everyone is functioning properly today and had at least a few good hours to rest 
after an amazing concluding weekend to our marching season! It is from the bottom of my heart that I write this message and thank everyone involved in this process! From booster officers, chaperones, hospitality, pit crew, uniform crew, supportive friends, alumni, family, and parents to the amazing group of students who made it happen on Saturday and all season, I thank all of you!! Thanks for your time, energy, talent, skill, commitment, and dedication to this wonderful organization!
Bus B suffered a blown tire on the way home and was delayed several hours causing them to arrive at 4:30 AM! Fortunately, everyone was safe other than the initial scare. Thanks to the chaperones, students, and parents for the class and professionalism in which this difficult situation was handled!
To recap the day on the field, the HCMB experienced the highest placement in school history in class 5A finishing 8th overall with a distinguished rating of 81.05! Only 8 bands received distinguished ratings and HC placed among the highest scores in the state in music including a music performance score rating HC 2nd overall just ahead of eventual state champion PLD! What an amazing performance and deserving honor for this special group!
I would like to send enormous thanks to the 2011 HCMB staff: Mr. Bayerle, Justin Fisher, Barbara Baker, and Mr. Bralley! This is the finest staff I have had the honor with which to work! I am in awe and deeply admired their amazing talent, creativity, and work ethic daily throughout the course of the season!
Thanks again to all and congratulations to you, especially this terrific group of seniors and senior families for leaving a lasting legacy and impact on the HC Band that will be carried far into the future! We are grateful for your years of dedication and service and hope to build upon the high standards you were able to help the organization achieve!
I look forward to beginning the next phase of the band year and hope to see everyone at our first concert of the year next week on Thursday, November 10 in Lassiter Theater! We will continue to practice and perform at the highest levels in all phases of the HC band program!
